The Process

The interview

So you've decided to take your safety and protection to the next level?

The first step in our process is to get to know you better. Our staff will contact you to schedule an interview with our head trainer.

The initial interview is designed to help us understand your explicit wants, needs and expectations for your security partner. We want to understand your daily routine, your life, and what you are looking for in a K9.

Finding your K9

Once we've gotten to know you a little better, we will get to work finding you the perfect K9.

Please note: This is not an overnight process. As we are fully tailoring your security solution to your life and needs, the process can take anywhere from 30 days to 6 months (depending on your expectations and budget).

We have developed an extensive list of partners including top breeders, trainers and importers with access to the best available K9s on the market.

As we find prospective K9s that meet our strict criteria, we will send you photos and descriptions. While you won't get to meet the K9 in advance, you will have access to a library of photos and videos on each as well as background information on temperament, training and behavior.

Once you select your K9 from the list provided, the dog or puppy will be delivered to our head trainer for initial assessment and development of a training plan.

Training

Once your new dog arrives, our team will assess health, structure and workability and, once confirmed will begin development and implementation of a training plan with your goals and expectations at its core.

Our trainers will let you know anticipated length of the program, and we will keep you apprised every step of the way with weekly photo and video updates.

Your dog will live in the home of his or her trainer to ensure they learn to live as a family member, not in a crate or kennel run.

Most training programs take between 30 and 120 days.

The installation

When the training program is complete, your K9 will be hand delivered and installed by our head trainer and her team.

We will travel to your location and spend 3-5 days teaching your dog in his or her new environment, as well as teaching you to handle your new security partner.

At the end of the installation, you will know all applicable commands and how to reinforce and we will ensure that both you and your K9 are comfortable during the transition.

We encourage our customers, following the installation, to call or email at any time. Once you are a customer of 690 security, you become part of our family. We will always be there to help and support you and your K9. And even if you don't have questions, we love to hear updates and see photos!
